New "positive" Diary

Over the weekend I bought a lovely new 365 day diary from my new favourite shop Kikki K (I could spend every cent I have in this shop!!)

I also bought some fancy gel pens so I could be creative (not that I am, but I had high hopes!!)

Unfortunately the gel pens seep through the paper so aren't really perfect.

My idea is to write onew thing of every day that makes me happy, gives me a smile or a happy thought. So far, so good. Have had three days of positivity!!!

Scary Things

I did another 10klm "Fun Run" on Sunday. It was a gorgeous day- all sunshiney. A good day to be out and about.

Once the race was finished we were sitting on a hill waiting for the presentations and -as you do!-I was people watching. One girl who was sitting quite close to us had a bag on which was printed "Do one thing every day that scares you!"

What?? I thought about it. Trying to see, but obviously missing, the point. I can understand- do one thing each day that pushes you outside your comfort zone, or- do one thing each day that is new- or even- do one thing each day that intimidates you.

But one thing EACH day that scares you?? It got me thinking about what does scare me. Apart form the obvious- anything happening to my children or my husband- what really scares me? The thought of bungy jumping scares me. The thought of facing any large animal does scare me. Snakes *shudder* can hardly type the word!!
I just couldn't face these things on a daily basis. And what would be the point?
Not sure that I see it yet..........

Flu, Flu go away

I am over the flu!! No, I don't have it myself (thank goodness and touch wood) I am just over all the work it is causing me.
Am looking forward to the weekend. Another 10klm run- this week it's for Rotary- hoping to get another PB. The very best thing about starting as slowly as I did is that you really get lots of chances to better your time!!
I am enjoying being back with my running group. They are a great group of lovely people who are really inspiring and yet always ready to help, support and encourage thoise of us (OK, just me really!!) who are slow..........
My lovely friend Pam, who helps me out no end with the stressful situations at work has been on holidays this week, but thank goodness comes back next week. I have really missed her- even though we have spoken nearly every day! :)
Amy is home sick!! Suck it up, lovely! You are in Europe for goodness sake Don't waste a minute wishing you were back home!! Although I do miss her terribly.
Have a lovely weekend everyone. xxx

Tuesday

Well, I have decided to break out and start a new blog to share. This week has been huge for me at work (what's new??) It is frustrating. Challenging- yes, but frustrating as well.
I need a break. Only 10 weeks to go until a lovely holiday at Noosa (one of my favourite places in the world!)
My daughter Amy is over-seas at the moment and I am planning on "doing-over" her room for when she gets home. Amy is 23 and I don't expect her to stay living at home for much longer once she gets home and so I feel this is my last chance to do up her room just for her. I have been searching home decorating blogs (there are some REALLY talented people around!!)
I will share my ideas as they come.......

:)
